They did it- they are the champs in their division/age group. I think Tanner had a positive experience on the team....



I don't want to be one "those parents" but I have to say that I sometimes question the motives/actions behind some of the decisions that coaches make. And there really are alot of politics that go on behind the scenes I think...I wish that I was oblivious to it all, but I am not...too bad it isn't like it was in t-ball where everyone hit and everyone played.

the 26th

The day ended up not being so bad.

Came home and had dinner really late with the family and Mom & Larry after Tanner's game. Got some nice birthday presents.

It is so hard to go back to work after having such a nice day off. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to work anymore (sometimes?, more like all the time)...oh well. someday!

*birthday*

so today is my birthday...seems like any other day, except that I didn't have to go to work because I took the day off. When did birthdays become so unexciting? Probably around 22 when you have already passed all the "big" kid birthdays....

Oh well, I got to get a pedicure, massage and scrap a little. I am off to watch an all-star baseball game that Tanner is playing in...and then there is a pizza party after, thankfully we aren't going but if Tanner had his way we would be! I doubt if it was his birthday if he would want to go to a crop with me....

*Day Off*

I took Wednesday off so I could spend time with the kids before they each start their busy summer schedule. M & I took them to the beach. It was so relaxing.... Taking the day off in the middle of the week sure made the work week go by quick!

I really like this picture...Riley, Jake, Tanner & Austin out on their boogey boards and then there is the unknow boy with his pants falling down- don't know who that is and I want to erase him from the picture but I don't know how.....

*'Friday*

wow, it has been awhile since my last post, but since I have about two readers- Hi Mom & Karen...I don't think anyone noticed!

I get to go to Scrapbook Oasis tonight and make a fun t-shirt from Amy Tan....cannot wait. But tomorrow I have to go to traffic school! I am so dreading it. What a waste of a Saturday! YUCK!

*haircut*

Jake finally got his haircut...it looks so cute long, but it was looking a little too long...He only wanted Dianna to do it. The last time M cut his hair he used his clippers and he cut Jake on the ear, I think Jake is afraid of those things now....

*June*

It has been awhile since I have posted- not that anyone is noticing...I don't know if anyone is even reading it but me....

June has always been my favorite month. Most likely because it is my birthday month, but also because I always loved the start of summer, with the thought of all the possibilities summer could bring-When I was younger, it was how many days I got to go the beach and not be at school, and now as I am much older, it is all about what fun things we can do as a family. And it seems like we never have enough time to do all the things we want to do...maybe this summer we will have more time...

We got to go to another Angel game on Tuesday- we get the best seats- right behind the camera area along first base. Lately, every time we go we have gotten a ball. Tanner got this one from the Seattle Mariners first baseman. Of course Tanner wanted to be silly and not take a picture....
