what we have been up to...

Jake had his 1st grade play - about weather. He was a "cold air mass". He did very well and he even had to go up to the microphone and speak! I couldn't believe it. He is normally very shy about stuff like that.

Riley finally had her cheer banquet. The girls all received 2 medals, 2 trophies and a backpack- from the competitions that they were in. (not the best picture, I know).

Tanner is snowboarding in Mammoth with his friend- I wish I could go to Mammoth...lucky kid.

And I have been sucked into the Twilight series. I resisted it for so long. I thought the whole story line seemed kind of lame. But I watched the first 2 movies and then saw the 2nd one again- and I had to go out and buy the 3rd book. I am trying to convince Riley (she is obsessed with the movies) that she should read the books. She says the movies are better. I tried to tell her that the books are always more interesting...at least to me. She wants none of it. She is making me promise to go see the 3rd movie the day it comes out. I tried to explain that it will be CROWDED - she doesn't care, she wants to stand in line and wait.

Just finished reading this book...good, fun read. Someone should really make movies out of Sophie Kinsella's books. She is hilarious!

Isn't that a pretty sunset? This is what I saw last night, however, this is not my picture and if it was, it wouldn't look this good!!

Met Mark & the kids down at Newport last night. He ran into some friends of ours that have a wonderful beach house on the boardwalk and we got to watch the sunset on the balcony. So relaxing. Then walked to El Ranchito for dinner - nice night!

life has been so hectic....wish I had something interesting to say, but I just can't seem to bring myself to write anything.

Us riding the Tower of Terror at California Adventure. I am the one holding on for dear life screaming! What this picture doesn't show is Jake hitting me and telling me to be quiet. That is why his ears are covered, I guess I was too loud. I have such sweet kids, don't I?!

I have nothing exciting to say (actually, do I ever?) Lot's of things going on, but so many that I don't feel would be appropriate to post...afraid I might end like Dooce.com and lose my job. But here is what is going on with me....I wake up and get to work by 6:45am, work my tail off and leave about 5:35 pm, sometimes, I eat lunch, sometimes not. Get home usually about 6:00 ish, start dinner and homework and clean the kitchen... Fight with the kids to take their showers, fight with the kids to go to bed...Read to or listen to Jake read for 1/2 hour (for school). Fall asleep, exhausted on the couch, oh, about 9:00 ish. Wake up the next day & repeat. Sound like fun??? Yes, I think it is fun too.

From cutesy girls to boys... this is Tanner and his friends out in Temecula for his 13th b-day. They had airsoft wars and paint ball wars out at my Mom & Larry's....They had fun.... don't they look crazy??? ;)
