I am reading this book to the kids on a recommendation from a friend of mine. It is a really good book, with some excellent life lessons in it. We have 6 chapters to go, but I find when I read it out loud it takes much longer to finish a book! Tanner even joined us in Jake's room every night to listen. We were at a really good part the other night and I told them it was time for bed (not for Tanner) so he took the book from me, went to his room & finished the book. We have all sworn him to not tell us the ending! I want to finish it too, but Riley is gone for the weekend and I told Jake we can't finish it without her!

How cool is it that you can watch shows on the internet? I know, you have been able to for a long time, but I never have before.

PBS Masterpiece theater made a remake of Emma, one of my favorite Jane Austen books, and I tivo'd only part 1 of a 3 part series. So mad at myself!

Today when I was checking out the PBS website it had Emma online! :) I got a salad for lunch and got to watch 20 minutes of the show. Love it! Put me in such a great mood. Now, I will be able to watch the rest of the mini-series!

Work has been kicking my butt, so I haven't had much time to post here...lots going on, wish I could share, but I wouldn't want to get in trouble... :)

Riley's cheer squad won 1st Place on Saturday night- it was so exciting!!!

I am reading 2 books right now- one I am having a hard time getting into, but this one - this is a total "fluff" book- easy to read and no gloom & doom. I love those kinds of books!

layouts

I scrapped this weekend, which was very fun for me...it hasn't been fun the last few times I did it. I think because my scrap area was overflowing with pictures/mess that I just couldn't get motivated. I actually scrapped about 6 layouts - they are very simple (read boring) but at least I did them. I don't know why my scanner is making the pictures weird, but I am too lazy to re-do.

Love this picture of Jake, Therese did some of her photoshop magic on it to make his eyes pop, but the scan doesn't do it justice. Thanks Therese.
