Julie & Julia

Finally got to the see this movie...Riley & I watched it, she loves girl movies, just as much as me. This movie makes me want to try more variety in our meals- but my kids are so darn stubborn with what they will and will not eat! But I am going to try new things and they are just going to have to deal with it!!

I could get used to being home all the time, I like my daily routine, however, I do not like the stress of not knowing.... but the end of this first week has ended on a positive note- I may have an interview next week...i will know later today.

Also, if you live near a Sprouts market- the best day to shop is on Wednesdays, when the new deals come out for the week, plus the deals from the prior week are still in effect. I cannot believe all the fresh fruits & vegetables I got for .88 and .99!!! Amazing. A bag of potatoes for .88!

Anyway, just thought I share some deals that I found!

Mornings are the best part of the day for me - the day always starts with such promise of things being accomplished and settled. I know that it has only been two days, correction 2 working days since I started this routine of mine, but the beginning of the day is best. The afternoon sets in and it is almost time to get the kids from school, and I think, what is going to happen- why haven't I found something yet. And then night hits and I am mentally exhausted, I fall asleep easily but then wake somewhere in the middle of the night to start the thinking/worrying process. I finally fall asleep again, wake up not feeling rested, and then start the whole process again- I hope this changes soon.

what we have been up to...

Jake had his 1st grade play - about weather. He was a "cold air mass". He did very well and he even had to go up to the microphone and speak! I couldn't believe it. He is normally very shy about stuff like that.

Riley finally had her cheer banquet. The girls all received 2 medals, 2 trophies and a backpack- from the competitions that they were in. (not the best picture, I know).

Tanner is snowboarding in Mammoth with his friend- I wish I could go to Mammoth...lucky kid.

And I have been sucked into the Twilight series. I resisted it for so long. I thought the whole story line seemed kind of lame. But I watched the first 2 movies and then saw the 2nd one again- and I had to go out and buy the 3rd book. I am trying to convince Riley (she is obsessed with the movies) that she should read the books. She says the movies are better. I tried to tell her that the books are always more interesting...at least to me. She wants none of it. She is making me promise to go see the 3rd movie the day it comes out. I tried to explain that it will be CROWDED - she doesn't care, she wants to stand in line and wait.

Just finished reading this book...good, fun read. Someone should really make movies out of Sophie Kinsella's books. She is hilarious!

Isn't that a pretty sunset? This is what I saw last night, however, this is not my picture and if it was, it wouldn't look this good!!

Met Mark & the kids down at Newport last night. He ran into some friends of ours that have a wonderful beach house on the boardwalk and we got to watch the sunset on the balcony. So relaxing. Then walked to El Ranchito for dinner - nice night!

life has been so hectic....wish I had something interesting to say, but I just can't seem to bring myself to write anything.
